I have a icecap 2k hooked up currently to the icecap controller(the white and orange wifi one). Works fine but I am looking at adding more monitoring and automation to my tank. So far I like the hydros system and it seems like they are expanding it.
My question is what do I need to hook up the icecap 2k directly to the X4 controller or will it not do that? Can't seem to get a very clear answer.

My 4k has a "direct drive" cable for hydros wave engine. I assume the 2k would work with the same cable. It allows you do do away with the icecap controller and power supply.

Yep, I've got three 2ks hooked up to my wave engine.

I was confused if the direct drive was the same as the pump outputs between the X4 and wave the engine but it appears the ports serve the same purpose just different names on different controllers. I believe I will have to buy the adapters to convert to the direct drive, but that is better than having duplicate controllers in my stand(so little space so many toys)

Thanks for the quick responses

Can I see a picture of the cable hooked from the wave engine to the hydros controller
