So I took a chance with this skimmer on my Red Sea reefer 250 not having really any feedback or reviews to go by I would say my overall impression is good for a sub $200 skimmer, that being said it is a touch on the noisier side and the pump has a constant hum to it that I can hear outside the cabinet.

On to the pics
Here is what it pulled out of my tank in roughly 4 days.

It took about 7-8 days to fully break in and the hum is still there. It’s not obnoxious but I can hear it with the cabinet doors closed

You still like the icecap? I was looking at this model due to the footprint. It will allow me to utilize the bigger chamber in the sump as a refugium.

how is this working for you?
I upgraded skimmers to a deltec, but my original review holds true for a sub $200 skimmer it works well if the pump noise doesn’t bother you.

Anyone here with this skimmer? i changed 3 pumps Evair400 and all of them working about 20-25 minutes then turning off for 2-3 minutes and then working again. anyone have this issue? but anyway it does its job and skims very well
