Back to the fish, yes ich or mucus cones from stress or water quality. Or it can be both. Post with the suggestion in my post and further analysis can be given. In the video looks like ich.

Yes this is ich and you will need to place fish in Quarantine tank and treat with Coppersafe or Copper Power at therapeutic level 2.25 for a FULL 30 days (do not interrupt this 30 day period) monitored with a Hanna Brand copper test kit- No API brand. Also monitor Ammonia levels while in quarantine with a reliable test kit and add aeration during treatment using an air stone. All other fish in with it should also be removed as they have also been exposed to the parasites and placed in quarantine tank.
The display tank will have to be kept fishless (FALLOW) for 6-8 weeks to assure the existing parasites go through their life cycle without a host fish and die off. Inverts and coral can remain in the display (not treatment) tank during fallow period.
A quarantine tank can be as simple as a tank from a second hand store, a Rubbermaid type tub or a starter kit from Walmart which most of the needed essentials.

+1 - this is ich. The tang is also breathing a bit fast, and that is not a symptom of ich at this point in the infection, so there may be more going on - possibly gill flukes.

I don’t think I will be able to quarantine separately. I will dig into it. I do have some parzi on hand. Would you suggest going ahead with that and treating the tank then moving to ich management or a possible qt? Honestly probably going to try and go ich management, understanding the risk.

If I treat with parzi I’ll need to turn off uv, so helps with flukes but also weakens tank vs the ich free swimmers

Do I just skip parzi?

Do you have inverts, or coral in the tank? If no, you can do hypo salinity at 1.009. But this will take some time to drop salinity levels in the DT. There is nothing reef safe that will take care of ich. QT is the only other option for 30 days as stated above. And 60 days fallow for the tank.

Yea I have corals and inverts. I’m going to treat for flukes and try and keep them healthy we’ll see how it goes

I'm just going to mention that it rarely works to implement Ich management once the disease has progressed this far.

Thank you, my tank / rock is second hand, the rock removal to catch the fish would pretty much take a breakdown. It would be unsuccessful, stress the fish more, put my corals and nem in danger also. I honestly don’t have high expectations either and as bad as it may sound it seems like the best way to mitigate amount of loss. That being said I’m going to do everything I can to keep the fish healthy and water clean to give them the shot I can.

Op, this right here. Ich is a numbers thing. Once it takes hold, it will only keep multiplying. We don’t have the ocean with vast amounts of water space. Our glass cages is a confinement center in a way. So ich keeps falling off and multiplying. Eventually killing all fish. There is nothing that can really kill it naturally in our tanks except fallow period of 60 days.

If I end up losing my fish, for the tank to fallow can I keep my corals and inverts in? Im pursuing getting them out and treat but I think in the future after this experience they will be qt’d before going in.

Thanks, assuming I catch them. I need to remove all fish, together in a qt tank for 60days and treat with copper. No treatment on DT just no fish remaining for the 60 days

Yes, I think that would be the best plan if you're able to get your fish out

Copper is 30 days at 2.25ppm min. Then prazi two weeks, and two weeks observation is the protocol for QT.

I don’t think this is a good candidate for ich management, but I would dose with prazi because that is reef safe, and may help with the rapid breathing.
