bought this colony off a guy. but he was not sure what it was called.. anyone know.

he claims that higher flow and light turns it solid purple and low flow an light develope more green. but its right there with my other acros high flow and light and seem to be getting more green... thanks.

Well I'll be of no assistance, lol. Just dropped in to say that regardless of the ismd, it's absolutely stunning! Great pick up.
 
It's kinda hard to ID it because the polyps of em aren't fully out but I believe the green one is Forest green Acropora. I might be wrong because I'm not an sps expert
 
Some tip burn there so you might have too high an alkalinity for it. Kind of looks like old school Tricolor Granulosa (which is probably a bizarre austera) to me.
 
tip burn huh?. I though the previous owners tale of half purple half green story was kind odd. my alk is 8.46
