Not sure about this guy but it’s really cool and growing fast. Anyone have an idea? Would like positive ID and scientific too. I’ve looked and have found similar, but off a little. Thanks in advance
It's a sarcophyton toadstool leather coral. They are amazingly hardy and grow in really varied conditions. Keep in mind that without proper filtration (carbon is very helpful for this) they will spew chemicals into the water to prevent other corals from growing. One of small size shouldn't be an issue, but when it gets bigger you may want to get a bag of carbon.
Good luck with it and God bless!
Thanks for the help all! I remember now the guy at the LFS where I got it saying weeping willow. It’s growing fast. Didn’t know about the chemical part. Not running any carbon yet
