Having my first issue with nuisance algae, i believe its cyanobacteria but I haven’t been able to find an exact picture to ID with. It popped up a couple weeks ago and operating under the belief it is cyano, i tried pulling some of it out just with my fingers but it ended up just breaking up and spreading around, which lead to how it is now. Whatever it is, is there any good way to get it out or treat for it? I also tried sucking it out with the siphon during a water change, but the same thing happened where i just ended up spreading it around. I vacuumed the sand a lot but it just came back to how it is now.
