I have had this torch for about 5 weeks and it seems to be happy but I always see peoples torches with like 3 or 5 inch apendages... is mine not in the right conditions or is mine just not a long tentacled variety? It gets a fairly aggressive back and forth motion from the wave pump and I have a current marine LED at 85% blue during the day. It only has the .5watt LEDs but so far I have had to keep it less than 100 or the torches tentacles would be curly and weird all the time. It is sometimes slightly more open than in the pic but that's about as long as it gets.

Might actually be a grape coral. They look like torch but don’t get the extension of polyps. Did you lfs tell you it’s a gold torch?

He told me it's a torch. That's about it. It's a pretty small reef store, not a whole lot there.

I know what you mean. There’s just are some vendors who are mistaken or shady. They do look ALOT alike minus polyp extension

IMO polyps are to small to be a grape coral

Looks like a torch to me.
