I can’t really help with an Id but I’m fairly sure I have the same acro that’s in the first picture.
Mine has started to turn a bright green, you can see something similar on a small speck of the one in the picture.
 

Freshwater filter only or is it? Have you ever used an HOB filter on a saltwater tank?
