I bought this at a Reefers Meet when I first got into the hobby in 2010. I glued it on a rock under T5 lighting which allowed it to live but not much more. The I upgraded to 250 Radion Halides and it started growing. I like the brown color with white dots. It kills all corals that touch including softies like mushrooms and Zenia.

It's a good chance it is a Montipora species, maybe M. friabilis? Hard to say because the picture is blurry. Close up pics of the retracted polyps would help.
