I have these 2 monties in my tank for a while and notice they been more brown in color. Got advice that its algae growing on and did a hydrogen peroxide dip today and they are not looking any better. After the dip i put them back in and they got bubbles on top so i blew them off with a pippet. The red looked bit brighter but the green one still seem brown at the right edge. I notice despite the color the red monti is actually growing and encursting on the white epoxy that i glued it on. They been under low light and high indirected flow. Tank parameter:
Salinity 1023
Kh 8.4
Ca 435
Mg1350
No3 25
Po4 0.03 (or maybe 0.3)
The no3 and po4 i got my lfs tested for me cause i ran out of test kit. Asked them for clarify the po4 but no reply so far.
I will add the image of them before the dip

My monticaps like a bit of light and are under about 300 par . Mine aren't picky about nutrient levels. I keep some in a tank with N 20- 40 and P 0.4 - 0.9 and they do well. I also have some in a tank that runs N 3-5 and P 0.02-0.04 and it does well also.
My friend did tell me just to leave it there and ignore it the coral will make it on its own XD

I have 4. A red, a blueberry fields, and a red, a green, and green mixed hybrid. Non of them like high light. Mine grow really well low in the tank. I had one at the top and it did nothing for several months. Moved it way down and is really started growing. They dont seem to care about nutrient levels.

Im still finding a spot where they can have stronger light and not grow out then shade the coral below
Hate to tell you but they will shade part of the tank. I would just pick a spot up high and plan accordingly.

I know that they will shade coral below so I mounted them where they can grow out double in size and only shade the gsp rock but not any other coral

I have the same species of caps placed high, med and low, with PAR ranging from 375 down to 100 and they do well in all 3 areas. Mine sulked like yours a little when my nutrients got on the lower end of the range (below 5 ppm NO3 and below .05 PO4, ) but they bounced back.
