Ya...skeleton under the flesh. Small tentacles around the outer edge of the purple where it meets the green.

I googled Dipsastraea images and it sure looks like some of the photos.

I thought this piece had nice color until I googled Favia coral. Wow....some really nice colors. I hope this piece brightens up after it's been in the tank for a while.

Look up Favia speciosa, that's what you'll find more pics of as not many people use its updated genus

When the lights are off The tentacles are full extended. Is it trying to catch food. Should I feed at night ?

You should feed every coral at night (: it would love things like brine shrimp nauplii, phytoplankton, artic copepods like cyclops, small foods like that.

I think the color is actually improving. It's been about a week since I added it to the tank.

This has been showing some amazing growth. It has totally covered the plug and is now covering some of the rock.

The color of this Favia has started to turn from green to yellow. It’s still eating and extending at night. What does it need to keeps its color ?
