The guy told me it is some kind of chalice

2nd guess would be Australomussa

I think your on to something maybe Scolymia vitiensis to I need to do more research

2nd guess would be Australomussa

First thing that popped into my head. Australomussa aka platting scoly. Although scoly vitiensis and australomussa are often confused since they look like twins. Especially when small.
