Identification — White String Released from Acropora

I picked up an unnamed, browned Acropora and a browned Seriatopora over the recent weekend as test corals for my aquarium since I plan to house an SPS-only system. I temperature-acclimated then, dipped them with Coral Rx, and in they went. Their polyps have been out since. However, I noticed a white string coming from the highest polyp of the Acropora this evening. It was present for nearly five minutes before floating away in the strong current. You should be able to see it from a few different angles in the video below.

Can you educate me about what the string is or what it may be?

Maybe a mesenterial filament.

Agreed with jda. Mine usually do that when I feed the tank. I also notice the filaments at the base of some of my acros... presumably "clearing space" for growth/encrusting

I notice this too. I will see
A lot of that at the base where it wants to encrust. It’s always a good sign for me. New growth always follows.
