There is a lot of reflection from tank glass to fully confirm but appears to be both HLLE and ich. Please darken room and increase white light intensity and even video to fully confirm
Better pic and yes can also be flukes. With flukes, fish will dart suddenly across tank, itch itself, have heavier breathing rate, loss of appetite as examples. How long have these dots/markings developed and how quickly increased?
makes sense. Fallow at 81 deg will stop the life cycle but not the issue on the fish. With coppersafe (recommended), it will take a couple of dats to take effect and treatment time will be based severity. Increase oxygen and assure good water quality during treatment@vetteguy53081 so purple tang was put into DT 4/1. Started to show signs of ich/velvet. Removed all fish and went fallow at 81F.
Fish are quarantining, since 4/12. Purple tang was doing better, then became the aggressor in QT. Switched him to a new QT tank 4 days ago and began to show signs of this more severely.
They both work the same and are safer chelated form of copper@vetteguy53081 So instead of Copper Power I should use Copper Safe?
Do I still do 3 day 100% water changes?
@Jay Hemdal I have not, do I just dip him in RODI water for 3 minutes and then 50/50 for another 3 minutes?
I am treating him with Copper Power and added nitrofurazone yesterday because I thought it may be a fungal infection.
It’s been in CP since 4/12 @2.5 ppmYou could try a full 5 minute FW dip. How long has it been in copper power, and what is the dose?
It seems to be getting worse. I don’t know what else to doThey both work the same and are safer chelated form of copper
Water changes if test kit shows higher level of ammonia
How are you testing copper (type of kit?)It seems to be getting worse. I don’t know what else to do

I am testing with the Hannah Kit (RED).How are you testing copper (type of kit?)
I would reduce copper level and what is ammonia level?
So I took the fish out and did a FW dip for 5 min. That’s when I was able to take a better picture of the condition, because it’s getting worse. What is the backstory on this photo? Is the fish just placed in shallow water, or is it so week it is laying on its side?
Did you try a full 5 minute FW dip as I mentioned last week?
Pulling the copper may not be the best thing to do, as these symptoms are not from excess copper, but rather, some continued infection.
As suspected, ammonia extremely high and causing skin reaction and needs to come down to .03 or belowI am testing with the Hannah Kit (RED).
Copper Power
Copper: 2.56 ppm
Ammonia: .89 ppm (Hannah Kit)
Doing 100% water change today.

The tang is back in QT tank and is eating well but the skin is getting worse.
