I recently purchased a wall hammer and for some reason it looks just like a torch with its elongated sweepers. It's definitely a hammer but I'm stumped to what it is. Purple tips is all the colour it has..

Hello, If someone were able to tell you what it was they would need a better photo showing the colors as they really are, all we can see is shades of gray in the photos. Hope this will help you get an answer.

That’s a wall hammer , the flow is way too high.
Hi thanks for the reply. This was purchased privately and the guy I brought it from has said from a tiny piece it's always had long polyps? I've had it a few weeks now with very little flow and still extends like a torch. Not complaining just never saw a wall hammer with loooong polyps. The guy before probably stretched them

The polyps on my wall hammer are like 2, sometimes 3 inches long. It’s fat and happy. No reason a healthy happy wall hammer can’t have long polyps

Wall torch!

All kidding aside some wall hammer have long tentacles

My branching torch has short ones. Maybe .75-1”?

My wall hammer tentacles are around 1-2” depending on how it feels, slow from my wave makers, time of day etc
