hold on, are you trying to access the apex, from outside your local network?

not sure I understand the Q.

I have a modem and a wireless router to which my Apex is connected via ethernet cable. When I went to PC(in house, upstairs on network) was able to login via fusion *** defaults but cant get my phone to connect to apex. light never turns green

on the iPhone, do you only use it at home (locally) only to keep tabs on the tank via the apex app... or when you are away from home?

Just at home. I was under the impression if you left your home and wish to control things you needed to go on line to fusion, do I have this miss understood?

I was assuming you connected with the old apex app, not via the fusion web interface...
You might have to open a case with them, to troubleshoot what's going on.

Yes and no, the connection via fusion uses a set of secure protocols to setup a link between the Apex and the fusion site, if you can get into the web locally that tells me your network is NOT the issue.
