If you could use any rock...

Starting a new tank and would like to hear opinions on rock... if you were starting a new tank and wanted the absolute cleanest, no hitchhikers, low or no phosphate, algae free rock.. what would be the best option? What would you stay away from etc? Thanks for the help!

I really like Real Reef rock.

Would have no idea it's man made.

I would use dry rock, then put them in a brute filled with rodi water, throw a powerhead in there and let them cure for a month.

I like real reef. Looks great just a little heavy. Tonga n Tonga shelf look good too.

I am 100% interested in clean, no algae no pest rock... the looks are important but I'm gonna cover with corals anyway haha

I'll vote Pukani, I just got my 90 up using dry pukani and I love it. It adds a challenge to aqua scaping because in my opinion each piece has a vertical axis so lost of planning is required, or its just my ocd. it looks killer in the in end though!

Pukani is ok but it def needs to be cycled it is pretty dirty for dry rock i like marco rock or aquamaxx rock

Marco Rock / Tonga Rock. 3 tanks in our house run by Marco and Tonga. You just have to cycle a bit longer than live, unless you have an instant nitrifying bacteria source.
