So, I have desired, but have been unable to acquire a yellow clown goby for quite a while now.
My favorite LFS (78 miles away...) finally had one.
Of course it was the last one, I took a very long ride to get it, and they held it for me 'til I got there... so in my excitement, I didn't ask to see it eat, nor notice how thin it was.
Long story short, it wouldn't eat.
I tried NEW LIFE SPECTRUM THERA+A, Omega pellets, Freeze dried brine, Rod's Food fish only blend, and frozen mysis.
...none of those even got a response.
I placed it all very carefully, with a long coral feeder, right in front of him... nothin'
After reading about the wonders of Cyclopeeze (can't get it... I know why), I decided to look at the more readily available ZooMed Can O' Cyclops.
(I know its not the famous red miracle cyclops from the lone arctic lake on the planet it exists within)
Well.. the little guy hit it right away (immediate response) with vigor and no hesistation.
He is eating, and has been swimming around, where before he was a staying at the bottom in his tube.
So.. I think he will live now, where before I feared the worst.
I guess maybe it could be chalked up to him acclimated, I got him Friday afternoon, Its Tuesday today...but I dunno.. and I wasn't taking chances. (He would not eat this morning at 7am, he did eat this vigorously at 6pm)
7$ on Amazon
It's a liquid, Tabasco like consistency.
I took what would fit in a sandwich size zip-loc and froze it into a flat square patty to chip off and use later, leaving some in the can for the next week or so.
In case you are curious... I took some pics to help in your research...
Looks like tomato sauce...
Microscope view... 100X
