So, I have desired, but have been unable to acquire a yellow clown goby for quite a while now.
My favorite LFS (78 miles away...) finally had one.
Of course it was the last one, I took a very long ride to get it, and they held it for me 'til I got there... so in my excitement, I didn't ask to see it eat, nor notice how thin it was.

Long story short, it wouldn't eat.
I tried NEW LIFE SPECTRUM THERA+A, Omega pellets, Freeze dried brine, Rod's Food fish only blend, and frozen mysis.
...none of those even got a response.
I placed it all very carefully, with a long coral feeder, right in front of him... nothin'

After reading about the wonders of Cyclopeeze (can't get it... I know why), I decided to look at the more readily available ZooMed Can O' Cyclops.
(I know its not the famous red miracle cyclops from the lone arctic lake on the planet it exists within)

Well.. the little guy hit it right away (immediate response) with vigor and no hesistation.

He is eating, and has been swimming around, where before he was a staying at the bottom in his tube.

So.. I think he will live now, where before I feared the worst.

I guess maybe it could be chalked up to him acclimated, I got him Friday afternoon, Its Tuesday today...but I dunno.. and I wasn't taking chances. (He would not eat this morning at 7am, he did eat this vigorously at 6pm)

7$ on Amazon
It's a liquid, Tabasco like consistency.
I took what would fit in a sandwich size zip-loc and froze it into a flat square patty to chip off and use later, leaving some in the can for the next week or so.
In case you are curious... I took some pics to help in your research...

Awesome! My clown goby came in super emaciated. I couldn't get him through quarantine imo before he would starve himself.he fattened up immediately in my display tand after consuming mucous and polyps from 4 different acro mini colonies the size of tennis balls. I've given him 2 weeks to get a better body condition, now He is in jail. Can't wait to give cyclops a try.

Fingers crossed.
My little guy hasn't gotten any thicker yet...been eating good though.

Seems pale. I'm thinking parasite, and may go ahead with some General Cure. No idea how to get it on the cyclops food though ..so just the water it is...hope he swallows some..

He will also only eat with the pump off... But when it is...he swims all around.
This pic was taken in dimmer light.

interesting that he won't eat while the pump is running. Too much flow for him/her?

Wont even swim around...

Its just a HOB filter (Marina S20.. ) in the 5 gal QT he's in. Not a lot of water movement at all.

The little guy expired sometime during the day today.

I'm still happy with the food, as it did trigger a feeding response. I feel he may have been too far gone, or perhaps had some internal parasites.

Thanks for reading and sharing.
