What’s up everyone?!

This is my first thread about my tank, I’ll try to make it pic heavy.

The tank itself is an IM 10g with IM APS stand the new IM pump (old eshopps in pics), desktop skimmer and media basket.

The light is a Kessil A160 and from my last tank, I think the amount/spread of light is great and the color is too.

Tunze nano ATO on an amazon switch that turns on for a minute every few hours so I don’t flood the house anymore (Happy wife, happy life).

Carib Sea ive sand - 10 lbs
Stax rocks - 5 lbs

I’ll go over livestock and stuff in another post on this thread too.

Nice start! Your cable management looks good! If you're interesting, you could add this build thread link to your profile and a banner will be added under your name with a quick link to this thread.

Industrial velcro, for the power strips, kessil and mighty jet controllers. I used the Velcro to wrap the wires too, looks much more clean than the last tank.
Thanks!
Gotcha — thanks for the tip. The top section of my IM 10 cabinet is a full on rat’s nest right now. And that’s even after a substantial amount of effort with wire management.

No worries, I’ll try to get a couple pics of how I did it too for a visual. It honestly doesn’t seem like a lot but it’s just cleaner and I like it.

Managing cables may seem like a little thing, but as you move to bigger tanks and more equipment with more cables and more power supplies then this becomes a big deal and you are already doing it well!

That looks awesome, great job!

A question and a comment.

What “Amazon switch” did you get. I want to get either a smart plug or power strip that is compatible with iOS to set up a feed mode on my IM 10. Right now I have unplug the skimmer, and put the pump I feed mode. I’d like to do that on my iPad/iPhone.

I don’t know if you’re aware of this, In Tank sells a cover for the rear sump area for the Nuvo 10. It hides the skimmer and the Wires coming out of it and keeps the light out of the sump area. It also finishes the tank off really nicely.

Hey, Does the cover look like the Red Sea nano cover? I have the amazon wireless switch you can control with Alexa, and set up a routine, also an option for you might be a Tripp lite strip that has manual switches for each plug. That’s what I used and just wanted a fail-safe for the ATO. Check it out

Would definitely appreciate that.
Mr.Z, I’ve got a couple pictures of what I did, it’s just industrial Velcro from amazon. You can stick both sticky sides together to wrap wires or you can have one side stuck to a power strip and the other side stuck to the wall so you can mount it too.

It’s similar. Here’s a pic of it on my IM 10…

I think we could use some updated pics. The tank currently has a Wyoming white, a snowflake and a cleaner shrimp along with a bunch of corals.

Tanks been up since September 2019. Started with 2 Wyoming whites and one didn’t make it, came in super skinny from online and tried to use vitamin C and selcon on their food, unfortunately it didn’t make it. After a few weeks we got the snowflake and he’s been doing well and paired with the Wyoming right away.
