Hey everybody! My name is Jon. I’ve been a long time lurker, but I think it’s time to share my reef with fellow reefers rather than just my wife (she’s such a good sport!)

Now I could bore you all blabbing on and on about my first tank (a standard 29 gallon) and all the highs and lows that eventually lead to here. So we’ll skip through that to today! This tank has been up and running since October 2020.

Way too many words. Way too few pictures. So here’s a little progression:

September 2020-Leak Test

October 2020-First fish are in (10 year old pair)

November 2020-Fish and coral are in!

February 2022(I guess I didn’t really take many pictures in 2021)- Looking real good!

Annnd finally a recent look, June 2023

Fish

2 X Black and white Clowns

5 x Springeri Damsels

2 x Azure Damsels

1 x Longnose Hawkfish

1 x Aiptasia Eating (Matted) Filefish

1 x Tomini Tang

1 x sailfin tang

Inverts

A whole crap ton of colonista snails, pods, and worms

Coral

A mix of Stylos, Pocillipora, Seriataphora, Montipora, Acros and a couple euphyllia

Life Support

3 x Jebao wave makers (I don’t remember what model)

2 x max spect gyres

2 x 32” reef breeder Photons (contemplating adding a third)

1 x Reef Octopus 150 int skimmer (a little under sized but has been working for me)

1 x Aquamaxx c-tech Calcium Reactor

That just about sums it up I think
