IM 15G Nano Build

Nice 15. I have the same system.
Since you like Chalk Bass, one of my favorite fish, this happened.

In my old 18" nano cube I had a nice chalk bass. The other tank in the pic is a 36×24×12 frag system.
No lids on both. Did not see the chalk bass for a week. I figured it jumped out and one of the cats grabbed it.
Was going to clean a powerhead in the frag tank and the chalk bass was under it. What?
It had jumped from one tank to the other. Guess the nano was getting to small,lol.

Chalk bass are awesome! Mine jumped into the return section of mine when I had my lid off and scared the crap out of me. I guess he got bored back there because after 10 minutes it jumped back into the display

Wow that's such a nice tank! Did you make that lid? Also is the AIO chamber guard 3D printed? My work lets us checkout 3D printers. I find myself in Fusion making random stuff to try out all the time.

Chalk bass stripes remind me almost of lightning. It was never on the top of my list, but decided to get one on a whim and now it's my show stopper. I think more folks would be into them if they saw the colors in person.

The lid is a Kraken.
The black gaurd is to block light from my Tunze ato sensor.
Its pvc foam I puchased on ebay.
Easy to cut with a blade knife.
Its lays against the Radion mount.
I dose 2 part alongside the ato line in second chamber and run a floss cup in chamber 1.
Hygger 100 watt in the return.

Your setup is super clean. I went a little overboard with gear on mine I think. I’m starting to collect gear for an upgrade to a 75g EXT. Once I move everything over, I’ll setup the 15g differently (less stuff hanging all over it lol). I was thinking about making it a nem tank, but we’ll see.

Ya this is exactly what I was thinking :D Some BTAs and a clown pair!

Edit: I've read clowns nip RFA, but still wanted to try an RFA too.

Edit 2: Yours aren't BTA correct? Are they Long Tentacle?

Long tentacles. I have 2 bubbletips in my 50.

So jealous! My tanks are all in my office right now. I just moved out a desk that I used for hobby stuff to make more room for the 75g :) Eventually I'm going to get a tank (or two... three) into the main living area... my wife is almost there.

Figured I'd repost this here (from: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/always-amazed-by-this-hobby.1160906/)...

Got a couple new Pitho Crabs. While in QT I noticed one had this pulsating flap that at first I thought may be a parasite. Turns out it's a female with a batch of eggs and she moves water around them by flapping that pouch. She got promoted out of QT a bit early and I managed to get a video :) My chalk bass got a little bit jealous of something else getting attention lol.

I haven't updated this in a long, long time. I made the move to an IM75 EXT awhile back for most of this tank. Going to start a new build thread for that soon(ish). In the meantime, the IM15 has become an anemone tank! I reused the same rock work/sand, but added a clown pair (basic ocellaris... nothing fancy) along with 3 different strains of BTA (Sherman, Nexus, Rainbow) and an RFA (with another RFA on the way). I was thinking of doing a GSP wall on the back for fun. Any good suggestions for coral that can survive the anemones?

The clowns love moving between the BTAs!
