And Apex says 81.6
Now I don't know what to trust o_O

prob apex, kitchen thermometers do not need to be very precise.

Oh my gosh. I'm sorry to hear this happened! Thanks for posting. I just found out my digital thermometer is wrong by about 4 degrees. It just recently started to read low so of course I thought it was my heater that was failing so I threw in the spare that I have and also put in a glass themometer. Turns out the heater is fine and it was the digital thermometer giving me trouble because the glass one was reading fine. I pulled out the new heater but now I'm thinking I need three of every monitor in my tank. Grrrrr.

I check my apex probe twice a week when I do my testing.

I use the hanna salinity checker to check salinity, and temp every wednesday and sunday. They are always within a couple tenths of a degree from each other.
