best thing I can say is , if you've heard of Brita and other cartridge units that attach to your sink - They run on the concept of filtered water which is purified by carbon. Water sources can be contaminated by bacteria, heavy metals and other contaminants and many manufacturers know this and therefore, charcoal filters, or carbon filters, are a common method of water filtration and they come in various types.
Charcoal filters can be attached to the water faucet, used in refrigerator water filters as mentioned but also keep in mind, they are also contained in the lid of a water carafe and used in under the sink filtration units
That I cannot say. I would investigate what carbon they useThat's what got me to thinking... my Brita filter is old and needs replacement. I was wondering if I could use a bag of carbon or if I can get the filter open, refill the filter with fresh carbon.
That I cannot say. I would investigate what carbon they use
I believe soI found a cool intractable on refilling Brita filters.
Brita filters contains Activated Charcoal and Sodium Fluoride for the removal of heavy metals.
Activated charcoal and activated carbon ARE the same thing... aren't they?
