IM Desktop Tanks with Hang on Fuge?

Anyone using a hang on Fuge with any of the desktop sized filtration systems? Just wondering if it's possible with the IM Peninsula 20 to use a hang on Fuge like a CPR or Fiji while also still using a skimmer.

Why not just replace the skimmer with a fuge, a skimmer is unnecessary in a nano

I think those are all very wide and might not fit the filtration area.
