IM NUVO 15 equipment upgrades?

Good morning,

Im currently running a AI prime, Tunze ato, Heilos heater + controller and a mightyjet return pump on my Nuvo 15. I was wondering if its worth investing in any more equipment for my nano and just kinda wondering what other people are using. Is a skimmer worth it? Uv light? Refugium? These tanks are small so im not quite sure if its worth it but if anyone is running these lmk!

you've got the bases covered, I do have a little skimmer in mine but its not necessary .

My 15 gallon has rocks and powerheads and weekly water changes. Skimmer, uv and refugium are overkill on such a small tank IMO

Do you know what skimmer you went with? I was thinking about getting the innovative marine skimmer but the reviews aren't the best.

I think it was overkill, so I removed it from mine. I'll make you a great deal on one if you decide to want one.

One upgrade I love is the filter roller from @NatureDimensions

I went with the bubble magus mini q, it does work well

I have a Nero 3 in my IM Nuvo 15 cube, but only because I won it at my local reef club’s holiday party 2 years ago. A much smaller/more simple wave maker would work fine as well, since mine doesn’t go over 15% power. Here’s my tank thread for it. That’s the only thing I run more than you, and this tank has been doing great.

I went with the 326gph mightyjet return pump. I kinda wish I didnt because its very strong even at the lowest setting so I dont think I will need a wave maker but I only have a small micro mussa in there for now so time will tell. Thank you for the Insight I'll checkout your tank thread!

I don't think you need a skimmer on a 15, but I have a very lightly used IM NuvoSkim skimmer (their newer model) available if you're interested in trying a skimmer.
