Hi there! I’d like to introduce my bedroom tank:
Tank: IM Nuvo 15 cube
Lighting: AI Prime 16 HD
Movement: AI Nero 3
Inhabitants: 2 x Wyoming White clownfish, 5 x sexy shrimp, a sand tiger conch, a few blue leg hermits and nassarius snails, and countless other CuC including stomatellas, micro brittle stars, collinista snails, and more.
Coral: 13 different types of mushrooms currently including a jawbreaker, dragon lady, gonzo golden dragons, and some stunning rainbow Yumas; 2 RBTA that hang out at the surface; 2 RFA, a nuclear splatter hammer; sunset montipora; finger leather; 2 toadstools (one is tiny); and a newly acquired WWC Yellow Tip acropora
This tank was started April 28, 2024, but was an upgrade for what was already running in my little 4.8g Eshopps Deskmate. I made a new scape and transfered the coral and media, along with extra media I had establishing in my WB 25 Peninsula I had at the time). The clowns were originally in the WB 25, but I broke that tank down shortly after setting this one up due to not having enough time or energy to properly maintain it.
It’s primarily mushrooms and anemone for a reason. As cute as the sexy shrimp are, they have killed off multiple zoas and a few different LPS heads. I barely saw the yellow/green RFA fully open because of them, which is why I picked a second one up a few weeks ago. The sunset montipora encrusted fast and doesn’t seem bothered by them. The splatter hammer may or may not stay in. It’s the last piece I moved into this tank when my 40b crashed in June that I haven’t moved back over yet. So far the shrimp haven’t bothered it too much and its fully open almost all of the time, but we will see if that lasts.
Here are a few higher quality pictures of some of the coral and inhabitants:
