Yes. Directly into a sump where you can hide all your equipment and have decent filtration.

I say this as I just got rid if my IM 40 cude and replaced in with a 42g planer with an eshopps cude sump in the stand. I can grow SPS now. I haven't even set up my Apex yet

you can, but water quality can deteriorate faster in a smaller tank. most sps will not tolerate change very well.

Jumped back in about 4 months ago.
IM 40:
Viperspectra 165w. ( we shall see if they grow corals).
Tunze 9001 PS. Works great
Aquashield UV 11 w. (Really like this product.)
Sicce 3 return pump. (Tight fit but doable and worth it).
Ehiem 150 w.
Tunze 6045.

IM 14 Peninsula aka Frankenstein tank.
HQI 240 w Phoenix bulb.
Stock pump.

Growing red and green ogo, mangrove hence the light. A few zoanthids and a bad@$$ Dottyback.

Thinking about a Gyre?

Added a Duetto ATO to the IM 40 so far so good.
Using the Aquashield 11 watts. Pretty happy with the results.

Dialed down the Vipar.

Here you go. Sensor is of course at water line. RO water Return comes into same middle back compartment.

The middle, center section (I believe) is the right place to install the ATO sensor. How far below the top of the tank are you setting the water level? I'm cycling my first AIO tank now, and I have the return chamber almost filled to the height of the main display level. Too high? In this picture, it looks like it could be down a good ways...

I have a few questions.

Has/is any one running zeovite, aquaforest or brightwell line on there tanks? If so what ones also how did you like it?

What salt are you using?

Any suggestions on intensity of a radion xr30w gen1 on a nuvo fusion. I have it set to ab+
