I'm hoping folks have some posts for inspiration. I was thinking about putting in a mounting board/cabinet for various controllers under my IM75 inside the standard APS stand. I have about 10-11" free on the side of the sump (Fiji-20). My current plan was to buy some additional cam locks and build something around those. I've seen this post with covers for the locks: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/innovative-marine-cam-lock-control-board-brackets.874248/. Just wondering what others have done? Thanks in advance!

Holy hell. Had I seen this file 2 years ago that would have been life changing. It’s the thing I hate about my IM tank. I ordered a Waterbox just the other day because of it. 🤣

I dont have the best pictures of mine but can get one tonight. I just bought an Ikea cabinet, drilled holes in the door and put the little cable caps from a desk in it. I then put a small power strip inside to power all the items. Works for me and wasn't crazy expensive as some I see online. (It normally doesn't look like a storge shelf like it does in this photo lol)

I hadn’t thought about a separate cabinet. That’s probably the way. Thanks!

Ya I’ve been kind of scouring the depths for inspiration lol. For IM that’s about the best I’ve found thus far.

I am trying to figure out how to add a controller board to my new 200EXT and its so hard trying to figure out how this is going to work lol. Especially considering I dont have my tank yet 😂 idk why the APS is such an enigma😂

For what it’s worth I did order 2 additional sets of cam locks from the part store. Once I’m able to rig something I’ll post some pictures 😃

You would be a hero. I have a 4-6 month wait and would love to start fabricating something but theres so little info available online lol

ya that’s what has surprised me too. Was hoping not to start completely from scratch, but I guess that’s what I’m doing lol
Yea, because of that I've kinda made it a goal to keep good records and post on here too help people out. I may do a remote controller cabinet, but idk, I like the idea of it being in the stand

I did the exact same thing but have everything inside. It is a kitchen base cabinet so it actually looks like it should be there. I was going to get a piece of countertop for it so I had a work station but I upgraded to a new Waterbox so I will be getting rid of the cabinet haha

I could of fit everything in my new UNS but I just dont like it being that full, so I leave some of the things that have visible screens and lights for notifications out.

Ya I totally get that. I've paired almost all my stuff down to the bare basics. I don't have any screens. Just a Hydros Launch and XP8. Might need to add another XP8 when this new WB shows up. But I'll figure that out haha
