Wouldn't consider it a caniser filter if they are all only loaded with live rock, and more so call them a Live Rock Reactor.

Or a canister dark refugium if you really want to keep the canister designation.

Someone has mentioned doing that before. Said that it worked well.

I did it about 2 months ago with mine! So far so good. I believe it then operates like a cryptic zone!
