Tank is 4ft long, all stone is on pillars with bare bottom. I ran a pair of Nero 5 on each side as matching and off phase but saw buildup rocks circled red. I can bump speed, but it hits a point of making all the euphyllia retract a bit

I then mounted the Nero units at a 45 on the back wall. Dead spots moved to the back rocks. Outer euphyllia was ok, but stuff near the front was getting blasted.

Have been thinking of gyre for a less concentrated flow with more coverage and that I can run at a faster speed due to the broad spread.

Would you recommend facing each other, both

pushing down, or one across and the other down?

Put a Nero at the bottom pushing across and the other one on the opposite end at the top, (disrupting the surface to encourage O2 exchange). If you have a few dead spots where stuff collects, that’s where you siphon during a water change.

The ocean floor has dead spots too.
