well I stopped at a lfs yesterday planning on buying a coral or 2. wile I was looking at some frags I noticed a small bellus angel just over an inch in size with no price on the tank I asked how much it was, it took about 5 min but the employe came back and said it was $120 so I told him I was all set my son asked why I wasnt going to get it so I told him I could get it cheaper at the lfs near our house (we were 2 hrs away) and continued to look around at all the frags about 10 min later the person came up to me and told me he had herd what I said to my son, and bellus angels were rare and colorful thats why they cost more blablabla then went on to argue for another 5 min that the fish I wanted wasnt a bellus it was a lamarck and he was $30!! so not wanting to upset this employee I didnt want to argue back so I looked around a little longer giving him time to figure out what he was talking about and asked again if the fish I wanted was $30 and if so I would take her. and my son got a pistol shrimp and he discounted the shrimp another $5 because it was for my 10 yo son.

well i am a little excited about my new angel so here is a pic she is still in the bag in the pic and stressed so she isnt much color but she is doing great in my tank so far. I will try to get some pics of her in the tank tonight when the lights come on

here is a pic of my new "LAMARCK" (female bellus)

Awww yeah, teachin little kids to lie and cheat. Wooo!

what do you mean?
I told the guy at the lfs what the fish was he argued that what I said it was wasnt what it was.I was at ther lfs for an hour and I gave him a chance to fix his mistake 3 times I told him what it was! just before I was going to leave I asked again if the bellus was really $30 the person told me "the fish you want is $30"

how is this teaching my son to lie and cheat? I didnt lie and I didnt cheat! I pride myself on honesty so I take major offense to to your statement!!

my son did learn a lesson IT DOSNT PAY TO ARGUE and thats the point I stressed to him

--- you are saying you would have told him you didnt want the fish? or when he rang you up you would have argued and made him take $100 lol

I didnt lie I didnt cheat and I can get a bellus for allot cheaper than $120 I can probably get a pair of them for around $120

Ohhhh. So "the person" who came up and told you that it was a $30 Lamarck was the same employee you were dealing with the whole time. I thought you were saying another customer told you about the difference. That scenario is much more acceptable. Sorry for not reading more closely.

That a steal at 30 bucks for a female bellus. I've seen those no cheaper than 80 bucks

Honestly if they insisted on selling it to me after I told them what it was then I myself would have taken it in a heart beat.
