I have a typing problem that I've never had on any other website or message but here. When we want to start a new paragraph, we hit the "enter" tab on the keyboard, but on this site nothing happens. Is it me or the site's problem ? Like I said though, the enter on my keyboard works everywhere else. :squigglemouth:

Below is what a local reefer in my local club posted a few months ago on this issue. Hope it helps!

Running Windows 8 Pro 64-bit, with the included IE 10. You can type whatever you want, but the enter key does not bring you down to the next line / line break (it does nothing).
I've gone to having to use notepad to type field responses then copy and paste into the MDRC website editor.
Until now !!!
I've found out that this is a known Win IE 10 issue with V-bulletin and other chat forums.
Also that a fix can be applied to the site to remedy the problem.
Was wondering if anyone else is having the problem.
If you are having this problem look to the URL address bar. To the right of the address you will see a magnify glass, a drop down arrow, then what looks like a torn piece of paper. This last one is the compatibility view button.

Click on this and IE will re-config to the site and allow proper function.

Easy to do, guys. I use Windows 8 with IE 10. It's not even a fix, really, more about a "how to".

On top of the Quick Reply box is a row of icon buttons. The very first button shows "A/A" (switch to source mode). Left click on that button to highlight and turn it on. You can now make paragraphs like usual by tapping the "Enter" key on the keyboard.

Like so.

And so.

And so on.

HTH!!!!

Since you mentioned quick reply. What is the difference between clicking on the "Quick Reply" box and the "Reply to Thread" box ?

It just goes down to the quick reply but, I noticed that when I click twice on the reply word (bottom right side) the page turns onto what looks like starting a new thread and has the subject bar on top ?

Great info, it was driving me crazy.

Is there a way to make "Source Mode" the default?
