Anyone knows what happens if you raise the alkalinity in a low nutrient system? Im running a zeovit system alk of 7. Growth is ok colors I think could be better. Any thoughts appreciated.

Whenever a friend of mine inadvertantly raised the alk on her old zeo system the SPS would get alk burn. I'd leave that part of the chemistry alone.

It isn't recommended to go much higher than 8 dkH on an ULNS. Alk isn't as directly linked to coloration as other things are.

Could you post your lighting and parameters?

Ive got the red sea system with 10 ati t5s on approx 100gal. 6 blue plus 1 purple plus and 3 coral plus just replaced them. Ca 450, alk 7, mg 1320, phos .02 with hanna, nitrate not detectable by salifert, spec grav 1.025, temp 78-80. Ive been dosing all the typical zeovit products.
