Hello all I currently have a LPS tank running around 75PAR. All is well but I’d like to move to adding SPS (monti) how much increase per day of individual spectrum percentages are ok? My light (Radion XR15) is running at 75% with the blues and UV around 60 and whites down at 10. Thanks for any advice. I would ideally get the blues and UV to 100 then mess with the lights overall power percentage.

I believe we are missing vital information such as system measurements.

Welcome to R2R.
Definitely going to need some more information on size of tank, things like depth from the light coming to play here.

I would also like to say that mixed tanks aren't that easy. The problem is the SPS need more light than the LPS or softies, and you trying to get into monty's (thinking monti caps) will start to hinder the light getting down to the other coral as they expand out as a shelf.
I also like to add that you're going to have to run carbon. The softies like to play warfare by releasing toxins in the water so the SPS can't grow.

I’m aware of all that. I don’t see how tank size and depth have anything to do with increasing lighting itself. Obviously par changes with depth and area. I see why I have never made a r2r acc. lol. Cyaaa

Hmmm,
It's hard to know how much someone knows when I don't know them. Good luck in your endeavors.

You literally contradicted yourself here. Depth and tank size have nothing to do with lighting except PAR changes with depth and area 😂

why not just answer the question...? We're asking for information so we can help you more effectively.

If you want "blanket" advice, I wouldn't increase PAR more than 10% of current intensity per week, personally. slow and steady. Also, in my experience, Montis do just fine at 150-175 PAR, others may have other experience.
