Has anyone heard when the indo ban will be lifted? I've heard rumblings it may be soon

There have been rumblings for quite a while.. Knowing people in the industry, the consensus is, "We'll know for sure when corals start shipping. Until then, I'll believe it when I see it"

#WelcometoR2R by the way!!

As far as I know, there is nothing for sure as of yet. If anything does happen, it will most likely be for mariculture only and not wild.

Welcome to R2R

Yes, you still may hoard those expensive torches! No, I am not no offense!

There have been recent talks of the lift, which all stemmed around Thanksgiving time. A VA company posted advertisments for their Black Friday sales, which supposedly showed that they had Indo shipments coming in and the ban was being lifted. The lift has since been proven a hoax and the post was removed. As far as we know, the ban is not being lifted.

This. The vendors in the thick of it know not to believe hype and rumor.

Although I will note I have seen one distributor (won't name them) get stock in right after the most recent talk of CITES permits being issued again but nothing since.

Last I heard they're trying to work up how to get everything back online. Most everyone bailed from my understanding.

Maybe the little guys (although I follow little guys on insta and they have HUGE overgrown stockpiles in multiple areas) but AKKII has been formed from major mariculture operations controlled by companies in Indo and abroad so there's no lack of getting things 'online'. They are the reason for the recent progress. If anything they just have a lot of cutting to do! Short of the legal/government hurdles, that is.

There was a thread a few wks ago about it I cant find but they were talking about it from some reputable people. Honestly I have no clue but just the possibility has dropped prices around me im about to take advantage of.
