@Inertiatic must be almost as big as an adult's fist? How do like your Essence 130 skimmer? I almost bought one. I had several skimmers in mind and if my Reef Octo Elite 150sss is too big I'll get the Essence.

He's about the size of a baseball, just not as round. Overall I like the skimmer so far, still trying to get it dialed in. I'm hoping it isn't too big for my system. The only negative is that it is somewhat loud. The overflow, return pump, and MP40 are all silent, so the hum coming from the sump is noticeable.

@Inertiatic reading your first post again it seems you've seen some bad luck in the hobby. I think most of us have to one extent or another. I'm glad you're charging full steam ahead !!! How's the tank doing now?
