Just picked up a beautiful new pencil wrasse. Overnight, it got attacked. 2 injuries. The minor one is some small shredding on the anal fin. I’m more concerned that his left pectoral fin seems to be slightly torn at the outer edge and lacking movement. Every once in a while it makes a small move. But it’s usual just flush up against the flank. Any idea whether it should heal, and if so, how long that should take? Any recommendations for how I can help it? Thanks!

Presuming that you’ve separated the wrasse from the aggressor? I don’t see any serious infection going on, so it may heal without having to treat with antibiotics.

I find this genus to be really delicate, and I’ve not tried one in decades....
