That looks awesome. I get what your saying about no room in the cabinet. I feel that way about mine and I don’t have anywhere near what you have in yours. I just went through gymnastics recently to swap out a temp probe. Can’t imagine having to change out anything under yours but just the fact that it’s all in there is quite the feat.
New to GHL and i did not plug in ethernet cables into the power bars. I didn't put them in the easiest spot.... Took two beers to get done!!I just went through gymnastics recently to swap out a temp probe.
Who did you go with to make the lid? I need one for my IM 50 Lagoon AIO but just have not got around to ordering one. That one looks good on the tank.Lid arrived. Looks nice!

I like Octolids. Ol Cromag has some good ideas/products. I noticed he’s started making AIO false walls and that intrigues me. I’ve been batting around the idea of a custom peninsula AIO with bigger back chambers and he might just be the guy to build me the AIO insert. Probably not happening anytime soon though unfortunately. Was he good to work with?Octolids.

Its nice! I prefer no lid, but carpet surfers are no fun and entirely preventable...
I feel like you could do a cool kind close loop system with a bigger back wall (or large external over flow)! Even just drilling an existing AIO false wall and adding some pumps and putting them on random flow patterns or an old school squirt would be cool i think!I like Octolids. That would be pretty cool. I’m actually thinking about a custom 48x24x16 lagoon style tank with an AIO style false wall on the short end, but with about 8 to 10 inches of depth instead of the usual 4 to 4.5 inches. That way it’s still an AIO so no extra plumbing but there’s room for a real skimmer and a decent size fuge section. That would leave me with a display area of 38-40 inches by 24. All the benefits of an AIO and a sump without the plumbing. My tank is on the 2nd floor so leaks are a concern, plus I just don’t want to get down on my knees to work in the sump. Got it all in my head, just have to make it happen at some point.I feel like you could do a cool kind close loop system with a bigger back wall (or large external over flow)!
