Wonder why the split nem has this big poofy mouth. He has eaten before.. don't know what this is exactly.

The mother nem is right behind it looking good.

I recently had a split and the offspring didn't survive. Sometimes they don't make it.

I wouldn't interfere. Let nature take its course.

Looks like hes trying to eat whatever has landed on him. I woldnt be concerned.

some of my rock flowers do this a lot. never seemed to affect anything and the mouth will go back and forth between normal/puffy looking. as long as it seems healthy otherwise i'd probably just roll with it.
