I need to lower the temp of my tank about 2 degrees. I was hoping to get a fan for evaporative cooling. I tried to tunze eco chic aqua wind but I don’t really have a good spot to mount it. I also tried 2 of them of and each one made a loud screeching noise. My tank has a clearview lid over it and no cut out to mount the fans over the display. My sump is pretty full and I struggled to find a spot for it. It also overhangs too far.

I have 3 Reefi uno pro 2 lights over my tank and they are attached via reefis mount

I was wondering if anyone has a found a way to mount a silent fan from the light rails to blow straight down on the tank?

Perhaps repurpose grow tent clip fans. Something like this:

It’s in my living room so I need something a bit sleeker and WAF. I was hoping for something like the GHL fans but that can be mounted from above and point top down from behind my lights so they are hidden.

Hope this helps clarify. Basically want to hide a fan behind the lights and point it down to the water.

Then I would look to something like this. It could easily, and neatly, be mounted to the rail from above with the cords run along and/or behind the rails. Beyond that, depending on your skill set, you could custom DIY a solution using 200 mm case fans and 12.5v power supplies.

Looks interesting. How would you suggest mounting it?

Strategically thread zip ties through the grill and tightly around the arms. Use black and you won't see them.

Easier than I imagined. For 11 bucks I’ll give it a shot. Thanks
$33. I would do one on each arm. If it works, tag me in the pics on your build thread so I can take a look.
