I’ve been considering macroalgae, but I’ve never tried it before and I don’t know how it would do in such a low nutrient environment. What are your water parameters like that it grows successfully?

Zero Nitrates, 360 Calc, 8.3 PH, 9 dKH, 1.023 Salinity and 76 degrees. It doesn't grow fast but it adds color and the critters do seem to enjoy playing in it. I added it because it supposed to help the Angler maintain color as well as nutrient export. Everything I've been told about predator fish is that they produce a large amount of waste so I wanted to ensure I didn't lose control of Nitrates. So far so good.

We have almost the same parameters, I may have to give some dragons breath a try. It would look really nice with my lionfish.

I like those ideas, though I’m thinking of avoiding anything that will eat coralline algae. The hairy chitons look really interesting. I was going to order a red hawaiian reef lobster today, but they’re out of stock everywhere...

I love having chitons and money cowries, as well as tropical abalone and conchs. They each have different habits and prefer different spots in the tank. Serpent stars and brittle stars are fun, but nocturnal so hide a lot, although they will learn your feeding schedule and come out!
IMO no reef tank is complete without feather dusters.
There are so many options, have fun! Inverts really make a tank :)

I would assume (don't have first hand knowledge) that there would be at least one type of urchin that the lion wouldn't eat (maybe a long spine?). My urchin is a great and interesting invert in my tank.
You have my long spine he ticked me off when he ate my Monti
