looking for suggestions and opinions please.

in planning stage of my first reef build... DIY as much as I can.
have exactly space for a DT of 59"L 17"W 25"H , which is about 108G.
have two choices bellow. I think the external overflow is the better option for me.
my thinking is :
I dont want to drill the tank. so this side panel will be lower by 2" and the DIY acrylic overflow will be glued to the side with silicon. the 3 Bean Animal drain pipes together with wide side surface for silicon should be ok to support the weight.
the cost of extra-clear glass will cost about 900$ here. so its something to consider.

You might have an issue with the acrylic not adhering to the glass with silicone. Over time it can fail. Glass to glass would be better
