Hey there fellow reef lovers!

I’m Adam from Trumbull and will be setting up an innovative marine 200 gallon tank in the next couple days. I went to school with Bob for Exotic Fish and Corals so he will be helping me out on this venture. Prior to recently moving to Trumbull I lived in Milford and might have sold to some of you in the past.
My previous tank was a 90gallon and I did quite well with everything but SPS and this time around I am going to definitely try a full mixed reef. I love high end chalices, Zoas and love Acros but have never done amazing with them growing. Looking forward to being part of any swaps and meeting some of you in the future.

I’m extremely excited about the innovative marine! So I got the INT but really don’t know the difference. All I know is their availability for any of their bigger tanks is extremely limited. I gave my buddy Bob crate Blanche on every thing else I need aside of a hydros controller request. My girlfriend and I recently moved into a home Trumbull that she was renting out prior. She is very supportive and interested in following along.
I was attempting to hit Reefapulluza the other weekend but I had no available tanks to put any frags yet. If this group does any meets or anything educational keep me in the loop.

I had to move it down a flight of stairs to my basement lol, I hired movers and they did a great job. 480lb dry is no joke.

Charged me 300-350 can’t remember to move the tank

I bought some of the suction cup handles and they were a huge help with moving my tank in. Especially since I had to roll it over on its side to fit it through my door. Welcome to the club.

So I apologize the weather pretty much forced the postponement of getting the tank up and running. I’m sad every time I look at the 3 huge boxes on my driveway. Should be up by Tuesday but tomorrow I am going to do some aquascaping. I got some sick dry rock from Bob(exotic Fish in Milford). I always pull the friend card and buy from the “Not for sale section). Will post an update tomorrow.

So getting this monster of a tank in my home took a few weeks and nothing was going as planned. Of course the tank is sitting in boxes in my driveway and I needed 4 guys plus myself because I tore my bicep tendon the week before. Could only get 3 so I had to call a moving company.
Moving company got the tank inside and then we all noticed that the tank stand was in 30 pieces. I had no clue I was supposed to have to put it together so I had to have the movers come back two days later.
On to the next problem….btw the tank itself is built like a tank!! My buddy was not aware that the tank itself has this protective internal layer( see pics) all around the top of the aquarium so not one of any tank mounts would fit over the tank itself. So pics are what I have so far and light problem should be solved by the weekend.
Extremely impressed with the tank itself, sump was beautiful and love that the stand has side doors for access.

Nice! I had a huge tank sitting on my kitchen floor for a couple years. I was lucky and able to get three reefers to come help me put it up on the stand this spring and finally get that thing going. On a side note I just opened up a build thread section for the club here on R2R. If you like I can move this thread over there.

Sure you can definitely move it over. I was really just connecting with fellow reefers in CT.

Sure you can definitely move it over. I was really just connecting with fellow reefers in I'm going to leave it where it is for now as the build section for Connecticut is relatively new people may not find it there. Maybe once we get a little more activity in that area.. BTW I'm Kurt and over in Griswold Connecticut.
