Hi just to introduce myself I have a 650 litre mixed reef tank run on tap water with success and have not had any algae problems would love to hear other member comments

Strange to have not had any algae problems. Maybe the water over there is really clean. Have you ever checked water to see what the TDS level is? Its hard to believe there are not any phosphates or silicates in the water.
Do you have any tank pics?:)

SG 1.025
Lighting 3 Al Vegas On for 11 hours a day including ramp times
Equipment includes
Two External filters, 1 nano surface skimmer,two 6095 & one 6055 Circulation pumps, One phosphite reactor,one Skimmer mce600,
Water change schedule seven gallons a week. Here's some photos you asked for I hope you like them

Forgot to say my phosphate Are 0.02 Not bad for tapwater But Do add Tetra Aquasafe To the water and 20 jbl BioNitratex bags To the filters to help keep nitrates down which works for me

I used tap water for about 20 years in my tank. Then one day my town added zinc orthophosphate to the water to control corrosion in the pipes. All my corals and anemones died in a few minutes after I did a water change
