Hello everyone,

I’m new, not new :)

Pretty sure I had an account here years ago, but no access to my old email addresses.

I started keeping marine tanks back in 1990 through to 2008. After a big move from San Francisco where my last reef tank was housed, I’ve been traveling the world. 6 years ago I visited Bali, Indonesia and never left.

The craving to start a reef tank has been strong, so I finally decided to set up a small 6 galling nano tank. It is in the tale end of a fishless cycle (along with a quarantine tank).

The hobby has changed immensely since the olden days when wet/dry filters were a must, metal halide lights were the best, and under gravel filters were still in use. That’s why I say I’m new, not new.

I know how invaluable these forums are and I already have a ton of questions, so I thought I would start here by simply saying HELLO.
Welcome back to the salty side and the community! I look forward to seeing your setup! :-)
