Iron sucrose

Is it ok to dose iron in the form of iron sucrose?

Iron sucrose (not the chemically accurate name, but what medical folks call a product for injection to supplement iron) would not be an optimal choice, IMO.

It is actually a polymeric iron hydroxide, and may not become available to creatures in seawater.
