is 7 XR30s overkill for this shallow reef? (pics included)

The tank will be 90" x 26" with a height of only 13"

All the lights would be turned lengthwise. In this mockup, the lights are 5.5" apart.

The tank itself will be mixed reef but primarily SPS and as big of a LT anemone as I can find.

Over the years I've tried to penny-pinch with lighting and have always regretted it. But that's been with much taller tanks. For my next build I figured its time to go all out. I want the lighting to be as even as I can get it across the length of the tank. But is 7 overkill?

Or should I add and 8th lol? :p

Why not go with a smaller amount and see how it works out? You can always add more

You’d probably only need to run at 20-30% depending on your mounting height to hit 300PAR on the sand/floor. I’m getting 180 PAR in my corners and 250 PAR in the middle of my sand bed in my 22” high waterline 5ft tank using 3 XR30 G5 at 55%.
