Promoting single products on videos, when some of them are actually bad / not the best. They promoted Red Sea skimmers claiming it was super quiet and you could barely hear it , when they are kinda louder then average. Also promoted Aqamai KPS/KPM pumps twice in 2 different videos, when there are some issues with this pump and the price is kinda steep

I don't keep up with BRS much. Only order from them once or twice a year. My go to is Premium Aquatics. Still a small shop and they haven't tried to keep growing. I still get the same great service I got when I started using them in the late 90's.

That said, with their sudden interest in getting bigger and bigger, the owners are going to lose some control. That is just the way it works. I don't know their true intentions, but we've seen it time and time again. These smaller companies want to grow and grow until someone makes them a sweet offer to be bought and then the company of course goes down hill way too often. Again, no clue if that is their intention or if it will happen. Sometimes the owners do see things changing at their company and pull back and try to get back to what made them great but that is rare.

Also the sicce syncra silent they claim is silent but it shrieks in agony

I think that's some issue with quality control on Sicce, I had one Syncra 0.5 completely silent but many people report the opposite

I think cornering the market is kinda overstated.....there are a ton of different places you can purchase equipment online. Now if they take over Amazon, I will start to get worried lol.
