Hated beer when I was legal to consume, then in my mid thirties I warmed up to it because I distributed for almost 20 year. My coral cove is a tribute to all the Bars I delivered. Coasters, match book collections. I then became a beer snob(opposite of the oenophiles I grew up with.) My dad loved Italy, and I think it’s ok if an adolescent is allowed a small glass with a meal to enhance family bonds and the culture that embraces it. I still go after a Sangiovese once in a while or a super Tuscan blend. 3&1/2 years shy of fifty. I rarely touch anything. I did do my time with alcohol, moderation as they say. I’m not even sure what the current science is on a glass of wine semi regularly for the .
I’m always laughing about the negatives of coffee and then a positive light shed on it. 4shots of Espresso, and I’m lucid, calm, and ready to tackle the day ahead. Then I got to pee!

I mean, I dont tighten mine that tight but man those things lock on after a month or so. Not sure if its the heat in the tank is making the plastic swell? I mean heat does cause expansion.

I used a rubber mallet by hitting the handle of the provided wrench. Oh, I also used a few “words”…

I think all canister filters are like this. I tried putting silicone lube on the o rings and for reasons modern science can’t explain, it makes it even harder to unscrew….

I cracked open an old filter this afternoon using the plastic canister wrench and this:

Yes you can access additional strength by using any of a variety of magic “words” while applying force and it scales up with volume. The biggest guy at my gym knows this too

For one, I can't understand why this happened to you.
I've opened more than just a few of the BRS cannisters.
From the mini, to the 10" and the jumbo and while they were mostly tight, none were this impossible to open.

I'm curious how and what your co-worker had to do to get it opened.
