Is clownfish changing color normal?

I got these two as "Mocha storms" about 2 years back.

I saw that older picture when I was just going through old photos and I realized they are a LOT darker now. Almost black.

Not that I mind, kinda wanted black storms to start anyway, but I was just curious if that kind of color change is normal.

Typically dark colored clowns are orange when young and as they get older they darken in color. So they are perfectly ok.

Ok good to hear. Guess I was mostly shocked how dark they got haha.

Like I said, I like the fact they are really dark haha.

I am not a clownfish expert but if those are mocha the back ones must look crazy dark!

Yeah some clowns will start to darken as they mature. Very normal and common.
